1) Location:

The site of Kuwait University main campus located in the East side of the University Avenue.

2) General:

Bid Pack 5A&5B scope of work comprises the construction, completion, commissioning, handover and maintenance of all infrastructure services (roads, landscape and utilities).

Roads:

The scope includes the construction of a complete road networks with an approximate length of 5Km double carriage way Ring Road, 30Km of disruptor roads, two main roundabouts, one underpass to the college basement and nine basement ramps. The road system will contain traffic signals and pedestrian lights.

Site Utilities:

The main campus will have all the site utility networks such as storm water network including one attenuation tank, sanitary network, irrigation network including 4 irrigation tanks, and approximately 20 Km of fuel pipelines inside trenches and all other services required to operate the campus.

Substations:

Electrical cabling, eight electrical substations and two generators are also part of this package.

Surface parking:

A total area of 400,000 m2 approximately is designated for shaded surface parking in the main campus.

Hard and Soft Landscape:

For all exterior areas in the main Campus.i.e. roads shoulders, roundabout, open spaces.

Four main Gardens:

The Oasis area is located between the men and women colleges with a total length of 2.0 Km approximately. It will include all soft and hard landscape in addition to an amphitheater, 95Nos water features and 17 mechanical pump rooms. An approximate area of 1,400,000 m2 within the main campus will be used for soft landscape. Hard and Soft landscape for Kuwait Garden, Women’s Arrival and Men’s arrival garden including all related services are also part of this package.
