College of Life Science Gave Presentation About Sabah Al-Salem University City

College of Life Science entertained presentation and interactive session About Sabah Al-Salem University City, featuring Dr. Qutaiba, Kuwait University Construction Program Director and Eng. Ahmad Queshta, the follow-up Engineer for College of Life Science; in the presence of Prof. Dr. Qassem Saleh, Dean of College of Life Science.

“The purpose of holding this interactive session and presentation is showing Sabah Al-Salem University City project” Dr. Razouqi Said “The Amiri Decree for establishing Sabah Al-Salem University City issued in 2004; however the project name changed from Shadadiya University into Sabah Al-Salem University City in 2009”.

“Sabah Al-Salem University City is the first project in Kuwait uses the system of central utility plants to provide chilled water for cooling. These plants serves the whole project; in addition, there are almost 29 shelters with capacity of about 8000 persons,
i.e. 150-300 persons for each. These shelters are nuclear and chemical war resistant”.

These companies were dignified by KUCP to motivate the contractors of SSUC projects to improve the commitment to occupational safety, securing work environment against all hazards and protecting these national mega project against accidents.

COAE project contractor and consultant achieved remarkable progress in all aspects of safety during the implementation of the project construction works. They camp on top of the periodic evaluation being applied by the project management on all contractors and consultants working in the project. This evaluation is based on the occupational safety in the construction environment such as working on heights, system of laying down, considering the requirements of environmental safety, and firefighting systems.
